Scilla and Chianalea, two nights on the Strait

Villa San Giovanni is the point where Calabria looks at Sicily at its closest. This is where this package starts: two nights at the B&B Around The World, breakfast included, and a full day with a certified guide between the hinterland and the sea of Scilla.

We start from Borgo Croce, a hamlet of Fiumara: stone houses, narrow alleys, small squares and the countryside of olive trees around. Then we descend towards the coast. In Scilla, the Ruffo Castle occupies the promontory between the two parts of the town and you can observe it from the outside, with the guide telling its story. Under the castle there is Chianalea, the fishermen's district, with houses built on the water and alleys that descend to the sea.

You choose lunch, in the village. In the afternoon the transfer takes you back to the B&B: no car to drive, no parking to look for in Scilla.
